Dr. Linda Nussbaumer

Dr. Linda Nussbaumer serves as a distinguished leader on the Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø Interior Design Advisory Council and was an Adjunct Professor from 2022 to 2026. Previously, she was a Professor of Interior Design at South Dakota State University (SDSU), where she was honored with the title of Professor Emerita.

A dedicated educator, mentor, and author, Dr. Nussbaumer has written several influential books, including Human Factors in the Built EnvironmentInclusive Design: A Universal NeedThe Interior Design Intern, and Evidence-Based Design for Interior Designers. Through her teaching, scholarship, and publications, she has helped shape generations of interior designers.

As Program Coordinator at SDSU, she helped lead the Interior Design program to achieve CIDA accreditation and has been an active contributor to the Interior Design Educators Council (IDEC) through presentations, research, and professional engagement.
