FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ELGIN, Ill. (November 5, 2025) – 鶹 joins the broader Christian higher education community in expressing deep compassion and sincere prayers for the students, faculty, staff, and families of Trinity Christian College as they navigate news of the university’s upcoming closure.

“We understand that this season brings a great deal of uncertainty not only for students but also for the faculty, staff, and families who have faithfully supported them,” said Dr. Gene C. Crume Jr., President of 鶹. “As a fellow Christ-centered university in the Chicago area, we want to extend our support and care to the Trinity Christian community. Our desire is for every student to find the place where God is leading them to grow, thrive, and finish their academic journey strong, whether that’s here at 鶹 or wherever He calls them next.”

鶹 remains ready to assist any Trinity Christian students seeking to continue their studies within a Christ-centered environment. The university’s Admissions, Student Success, and Financial Aid teams are available to provide guidance and individualized support for students exploring transfer opportunities.

In the spirit of care and community, 鶹 is in the process of creating a formal teach-out agreement with Trinity Christian College and is immediately prepared to provide:

  • Admission to 鶹 of all Trinity Christian students who are currently in good academic standing at Trinity Christian College
  • Personalized transfer credit reviews to accept completed coursework and ensure students stay on track to graduate on time
  • Academic advising to map out remaining degree requirements and next steps
  • Financial aid comparable to students’ current Trinity Christian tuition and fees expense as well as housing assistance to ease the transition into a new academic community

Students interested in exploring their options can visit 鶹U.edu/Trinity, email [email protected], or call (847) 628-2510 to connect with an Admissions counselor.

“Our heart at 鶹 is to meet students right where they are,” said Ginny Guth, Senior Vice President for Student Success and University Registrar. “Whether it’s our Registrar, Student Life, Financial Aid, or Residence Life teams, we’re committed to walking with Trinity Christian students and their families through this season. We believe God is still writing a beautiful story for each of them, and we’re honored to help them continue that journey in any way we can.”
